Description of participants: Elderly ages 60 and up who became fully vaccinated between January 16-31, 2021 and without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in multiple centres in Israel
Inclusion criteria:
  • Ages 60 and older
  • became fully vaccinated between January 16-31, 2021
  • with SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results between July 11-31, 2021
  • Israeli residents

Exclusion criteria:
  • People infected before the study period (July 11-31, 2021)
  • residents returning from abroad during July 2021

Follow-up duration (months): 7.20
Vaccines:
  • 2 doses of BNT162b2, 21 days apart

General comment The preprint was used in data extraction and risk of bias assessment. Results were extracted for the group aged 60 and older who received the second vaccine dose in January. Concerns mainly over uncontrolled confounding, and a possibility of selection bias.
